Fossil Penguins in the land of the Kiwi

December 16, 2011

Paleo researchers Dan Ksepka and Paul Brinkman are in New Zealand searching for fossil penguins and working on specimens in the Otago Museum with Dr. R. Ewan Fordyce.  There will be some live updates over the next three weeks as the team works to shed more light on penguin evolution on the South Island.

You can follow them on Dan’s blog, March of the Fossil Penguins!

How exciting! I remember when the Museum was in the old building and now we have world-class scientists like Dr. Kespka and Dr. Brickman leading international expeditions! It’s so interesting to learn about the great new research going on behind the scenes. Keep up the good work!
